As Mason and Juila continue to struggle with their feelings and leading lives separate, yet together, Victoria's cocaine addiction continues to cause trouble for herself and everyone around her. Eventually, Victoria decides to enter drug rehab, unbeknownst to Mason but with Julia offering assistance. With Victoria away, Mason and Julia find it harder and harder to resist each other.

To compensate for her lack of comedic technique, Brown looks to the GH directors and her castmates for guidance. "A couple of our actors like Billy Warlock and Nancy Lee Grahn (AJ and Alexis), are really great at that kind of stuff.
