A DAYTIME TO REMEMBER
In 1997, before the debut of Port Charles, ABC-TV filled the half hour time slot by re-airing classic "General Hospital" episodes, hosted by Reba McEntire. Dramedy Queen is pleased to share with you many of these episodes.
Episodes One & Two
Tracy Quartermaine airs her family's dirty laundry by requesting the paternity of Alan Jr. be tested. When Edward confronts her and threatens to remove her from his will, he gets more than he bargained for as his heart condition causes him to collapse in her presence. Tracy coldly withholds her father's heart medicine and watches as he slowly falls apart. As their confrontation reaches its peak, Tracy's husband, Mitch Williams reveals to his mistress Susan Moore, that he plans to seek a divorce from Tracy. Laura and Scotty Baldwin discuss newly married life while out to dinner with Lee and Gail Baldwin. Meanwhile, at the campus disco, Lesley Webber, Bobbie Spencer, and Joe Kelly attempt to cheer their friend Diana Taylor, something that proves hard for Lesley in the face of her husband Rick's affair with Monica Quartermaine. Laura drops in to work and butts heads with Luke Spencer, who's wife, Jennifer Smith, is there to keep an eye on him. Laura and Lesley have a heart to heart about fidelity in marriage. Annie Logan and Jeff Webber discuss their new relationship and its effects on Joe Kelly.

Episode Three
As Rick and Monica plan their future together in their not-so-secret lovenest, Monica's husband Alan Quartermaine prepares to take his revenge by killing them both. But there are other things in store for Alan. At General Hospital, Jessie Brewer and Dan Rooney argue over the locations for their respective bridge and poker games (with an assist from Steve and Audrey Hardy).

Episode Four
During Luke and Laura's "summer on the run" the lovestruck duo hide for a night in Wyndham's department store, with hitman Hutch on their trail and "Fascination" playing in the background. Monica and Rick continue to plan their future together, but Monica has a paternity secret she's hiding from Rick. Audrey, Steve, and Jeff discuss placing Heather Webber in a state mental hospital and Jeff's relationship with Annie Logan. Alan and Edward discuss the need for new hospital funding after Frank Smith's withdrawal of support.

Episode Five
The residents of Port Charles prepare for freezing conditions as Luke struggles at cracking the code to the Cassadine weather machine. Laura and Robert Scorpio appeal to Tony Cassadine for help. Noah Drake makes an appearance in Kelly's diner (with Anne, Heather, and Rose Kelly).

Episode Six
Luke continues to try and stop the Cassadine weather machine. Laura and Robert hold the Cassadine guards at bay and convince Victor to give the order to let Luke use the radio to contact Port Charles. At General Hospital, the doctors, nurses and other citizens huddle in for the cold. Bobbie and Ruby inform Bryan, Claudia, Amy, and Georgia that Luke and Laura are both alive. Heather and Rose argue over Rose's decision to hide hitman Hutch from the authorities. Heather warns Rose that Joe will find out eventually and it could ruin them both. And Heather has another run-in with Anne.

Episode Seven
Richard Simmons makes an appearance on GH, teaching aerobics to Bobbie, Monica, Audrey, Jessie, Gail, and Lee at the hospital. Monica considers selling the Quartermaine mansion after Alan's latest indiscretion. Gail confronts Scotty over his treatment of Laura. Lesley sits vigil at an ailing young woman's beside, hoping she could turn out to be her missing daughter Laura. Jackie Templeton, played by Demi Moore, is in Port Charles looking for her missing sister Laura, and trying to team up with a heartbroken Luke who is also missing his Laura. Tempers flare and Robert Scorpio steps in to help. Meanwhile, Laura Templeton, played by Janine Turner, is held captive by David Grey.

Episode Eight
Luke, Robert, and Jackie continue to discuss the case of the missing Laura's. Steve, Lesley, Monica, Audrey, Bobbie, Jessie, Lee, and Gail discuss the status of the Laura in intensive care. Laura Templeton pieces together the information about all of the missing Lauras. Luke and Lesley discuss the possibility of finding their Laura. Lee berates Scotty for coming back to Port Charles and Scotty approaches Luke with information about Laura.

Episode Nine
Josh Clayton dies after a fight with Dr. Patrick O'Connor. A hysterical Terri brock blames Patrick as Bobbie, Tony Jones, Tania Jones, Frisco Jones, Felicia Cummings, Kevin O'Connor, and Jake Meyer try to piece things together On the other side of town, Robert finds himself caring for a small girl named Robin Soltini while Anna Devane sneaks around town looking for her. Robin, kidnapped and brought to Port Charles, was left on Robert's doorstep along with a doll that a crew of mysterious men seem to want. Frisco and Felicia attempt to help robert unravel the mystery. Robin's grandmother, Filomena Soltini, worries from afar in Italy.

Episode Ten
Anna reveals to Robert that Robin is indeed his child. After being reunited with Robin, Anna calls grandma Filomena to reassure her of Robin's safety, while Filomena receives mysterious messages all on her own. The PCPD determines that Josh didn't die of a head injury, clearing Patrick of murder charges. Terri continues to blame him anyway. Frisco and Felicia mourn their friend Josh while trying to hold things together to help Robert, Anna, and Robin. The Brownstone gang mourn together.

Meek and mousy librarian Lucy Coe transforms into a seductress in one episode. Terri, Kevin, Patrick, Frisco, and Felicia are all caught up in her web. Frisco and Felicia have a romantic rendezvous and discuss their future.

Episodes Twelve & Thirteen
Frisco and Felicia get married (and Jack Wagner sings!) and almost all of Port Charles celebrates! Duke Lavery flirts with Anna and befriends Robin as Anna tries to figure his angle out. Monica and Sean Donnelly plan a romatic honeymoon getaway for Frisco and Felcia, and Alan, thinking it's for themselves, plots to disrupt it. The honeymoon goes off with only a few hitches along the way.

Episode Fourteen
After Dominique Baldwin's death, Scotty has to flee town because of mob threats with their daughter Serena. Lucy, who was surrogate mother to Serena, discusses her fear of losing her connection with Serena and Scotty with Bobbie before sharing a teary farewell with Scotty and Serena at Dominique's grave. Meanwhile, Luke, Laura and Lucky fight being torn apart by Luke's decision to work for the mob once again.

Episodes Fifteen & Sixteen
In the aftermath of BJ's heart being transplanted into Maxie, several relationships grow stronger and some fall apart. Frisco and Felicia bond over their daughter's illness and new hope for life,. and their grief over BJ's death. Seeing their relationship firsthand, Mac Scorpio realizes Felicia's heart still belongs to Frisco, but he mends fences with Robin. Tony and Bobbie's marriage falls apart in the wake of her betrayal with Damian Smith, and BJ's tragic death. Lucy struggles with her own feelings of guilt with her Doc, Kevin Collins.
